Competition Writing Workshop

Competition Writing Perth

One question that children often ask me when they first come to Intuition Educational Support is, "How do I get my book published?"

In addition to accepting manuscripts, prospective publishers often look for new writers who have won a literature prize or award.

Fortunately, Australian kids are spoilt for choice when it comes to being able to enter awards.

Starting next term, I will run an eight-week competition writing workshop to help children prepare an entry for the Tim Winton Award for Young Writers.

This workshop will differ from other writing content that I have taught at Intuition.

The class will read and discuss the work of previous Tim Winton Award finalists and winners, and then give children the opportunity to plan and write stories to submit.

Places for this workshop will go quick – so act now - and give your child the chance to try their hand at a well-known writing competition, and one day, realise their dream of being published!
