Why Holiday Classes

During the school term, your child has been taught many important skills. The school holiday period is long enough to relax and have fun but it is also long enough for those important skills to be forgotten if not practised.
To avoid this, we run various school holiday programs to keep your child thinking and learning during the break.

Our Programs

Taught by qualified teachers, our school holiday programs are innovative and provide varied opportunities for students to gain valuable skills. We run programs for kindy, pre-school, primary, secondary & WACE students either as individual tuition or small group classes. The programs are designed to extend students’ skills and knowledge and also takes them back to the “learning mode” after a break. The goal is to energise students and get them ready for the new term.

GATE Selective Schools Test Holiday Programs

An intensive 6-8 hour program run over two days giving students opportunities to explore the concepts of the tests and become familiar with the different types of questions that are likely to come up, as well as practising good test taking techniques putting them in a better position to gain entrance into their preferred school.

By exposing students to the types of questions asked as well as their structure we give our students the best possible chance of achieving high scores needed to gain a place in any of the selective schools.

Beautiful Brain Bootcamp

The Beautiful Brain Boot Camp, is five days of brain-based activities designed to exercise and develop your child’s brain in much the same way as an exercise program develops physical fitness. The bootcamp is specifically designed for children aged 12-14 (School Years 6-8) and run by Eloise Hicks, a highly qualified teacher whose background includes teaching Philosophy to children and Positive Psychology in practice.

Each day, your child will:
• practise mindfulness tools that teach the art of sharp focus as well as techniques for stress management
• explore basic neuroscience and learn the structure of their brain and how it functions
• develop the awareness and language of mindsets oriented towards learning from mistakes
• participate in collaborative problem -solving exercises designed to flex creative muscles
• learn a variety of thinking tools through Philosophy
• have fun working with others to discover that positive emotions are good for brain development
Children’s brains are still developing, and new neural pathways are being laid down all the time. The Beautiful Brain Boot Camp is focused on shaping this development in a deliberate way by providing your child with easy tools and knowledge that will help them take control of their learning.

Page to Stage Holiday Workshops

Back by popular demand for primary school children aged 7-11, 'From the Page to the Stage' is a program that is designed to captivate and engage students during the April school holidays.

This time, children will be introduced to some fables and creation myths from around the world and will discuss what makes them distinctive. Why, for instance, do fables feature animals? And why do fables have a moral?

Children will then have the opportunity to write some of their own fables and creation myths.

Once committed to the page, students will then take their fables and creation myths to a drama workshop in preparation for the stage. Book Now
