Meet Our Tutors
All of our tutors bring a unique set of skills and expertise to our tutoring centre. They have obtained the necessary working with children checks and are either qualified to teach children or are in the process of completing a University Degree.
They are also fully qualified tutors with the Australian Tutoring Association. Additionally, most of our tutors are EdMED trained.
Trish Baran
Principal Educator
With nearly thirty years of experience in education and several years working as a tutor across Sydney and Perth, Trish—Principal Educator, Founder, and Tutor at Intuition Educational Support—brings a wealth of expertise to the field. Her academic background includes studies in Medical Science, a Bachelor of Social Science from the University of Newcastle, and a Master of Teaching from the University of Sydney. She also holds postgraduate qualifications in Adult Education, Literacy, Inclusive Education, and Business Administration.
A fully certified teacher, Trish has taught in a wide range of school environments, supporting diverse curricula and student needs. She has excelled in leadership roles, including Literacy Coordinator and Special Needs Coordinator. In addition to her classroom experience, Trish has served as a NAPLAN marker and a selective schools writing marker for the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER), further strengthening her expertise in assessing student learning and writing development.
Michael
CREATIVE WRITING SPECIALIST
Michael, an experienced writer, has been mentoring students for nearly ten years. Many of his students have excelled in writing, especially in GATE and Scholarship tests, and competitions under his guidance. He earned a Master of Creative Practice in Creative Writing from Curtin University and has been a tutor at the University of Notre Dame Australia. His work has been featured in numerous publications.
Finn
MATHS & SCIENCE TUTOR
Finn is studying Engineering at the University of Western Australia and was part of the Academic Extension Program at Churchlands Senior High School, achieving a 98.4 ATAR. He specialises in Maths and Science and is passionate about helping students build confidence and understanding through tailored, results-focused support.
Jess
EDUCATION SPECIALIST
Jess is completing a Pre-Law degree at the University of Western Australia and was Head Girl of Perth Modern School, achieving a 99.4 ATAR. She received a Subject Exhibition in Ancient History and brings strong academic and leadership experience to her role. Jess supports students across primary and high school levels, helping them build confidence and a genuine love of learning.
Michael
MATHS & SCIENCE TUTOR
Michael is currently studying Medicine at UWA. He specialises
in individual maths, physics, chemistry and human
biology tuition and is passionate about piquing students’
interest in STEM subjects.
Elisssa
EDUCATIONAL TUTOR & ADMIN SUPPORT
Elissa has been a part of our admin team for 6 years and is also a fully accredited tutor. She tutors primary school students and specialises in high school maths.
Damian
EDUCATIONAL TUTOR
Damian is a dedicated educational assistant with a deep commitment to nurturing the potential of children. He possesses extensive tutoring experience spanning various subjects, focusing on instilling confidence and enhancing children's learning capabilities.
