Terms and Conditions

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Our sessions run for 10 weeks each term on Weekdays and 10 -11 weeks on Saturdays.

PAYMENT POLICY

A discount is offered if a full term is paid in advance. For enrolled students, payments must be made, in total, by the last week of the previous school term for the Per Term discount to apply.

Weekly payments must be made, in total, via direct debit, the week before the student’s session. Next term, 1st lesson will be debited in the last week of the previous term. Sessions will NOT go ahead unless advance payment has been received.

All materials are included in the above prices and inclusive of GST.

We do not charge enrolment fees.

We do not tutor on Public Holidays unless the tutor and parents agree. Sessions falling on a public holiday will be rescheduled free of charge.

To make things easier, we offer direct debit payments. This is a great way just to set and forget. If a direct debit arrangement fails more than once, sessions will be suspended until the arrangement can be restored and payments are up to date.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Our tutoring centre prioritises effectively managing our lesson schedules to ensure a quality student learning experience. Please cancel your scheduled lesson at least 6 hours in advance to facilitate this. This can be done via email or text. Please do not call.

Please be aware that we do not provide refunds for cancellations. However, if you provide us with at least 6 hours notice of your need to cancel, we will credit your payment toward a future lesson. It's important to note that failure to cancel with at least 6 hours notice will incur a charge equal to the tuition session fee.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in adhering to our cancellation policy. Should you have any further questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact us.

RESCHEDULE POLICY

We allow for one lesson reschedule per full-term package. If your tutor is unavailable for a rescheduled lesson, it will be credited to the following term or the holidays.

The tutors at Intuition Educational Support have busy schedules to maintain; however, they will ensure that your lesson time is kept free from week to week. In the event that a tutor cannot make it to a scheduled lesson due to misadventure or other unforeseeable circumstances, an appropriate substitute tutor will be allocated, or the lesson will be rescheduled. If this cannot be arranged, the lesson will be credited to the following term. If your tutor does not arrive at the lesson at the agreed time, please express your concern to our admin team via text or email.

Intuition Educational Support is not liable for any technical problems during lessons conducted online that are out of our control. Our tutors will ensure they have a strong internet connection and can be heard and seen clearly. Students are encouraged to do the same before the lesson begins.

Group lessons with more than one student follow the same cancellation and rescheduling policies listed above.

REFUND POLICY

The Australian Consumer Law sets out consumer rights that are called consumer guarantees. These include your rights to a repair, replacement or refund where a product or service you buy fails to meet our consumer guarantee. Under this law, there are certain instances where we can offer a refund.

Cancellations due to change of mind will not be refunded but instead given a credit of use. We will credit you in the amount of remaining lessons, toward future lessons. Cash/monetary refunds for change of mind WILL NOT be honoured as per consumer law. If a monetary refund is granted, a $2 fee from each hour will be deducted from the refund as this is a fee we would other wise incur from our payment provider. Additionally discounts for up-front fees will be forfeited.

" A business can refuse to give you a free repair, replacement or refund if: you simply changed your mind (No longer want tutoring); you misused the product or service in a way that contributed to the problem (Did not follow tutors advice); you asked for a service to be done in a certain way against the advice of the business (Was suggested you do certain things or don't sit the test but do so anyways), or were unclear about what you wanted."

SICKNESS POLICY

Due to Covid-19 and Influenza outbreaks, we request that if your child has a runny nose, cough, or high temperature, please DO NOT bring them to tuition. The session can either be conducted online at the same time as the scheduled session or made up at a later date during the term or following school holidays.

In the event that your child is ill and turns up for face-to-face tuition, they will be asked to wait in reception, given a face mask, and we will contact you to collect your child. The session will be charged in full.

Should your child develop any of these symptoms during the session, they will be given a face mask and asked to wait in reception whilst we contact you to come and collect them. The remainder of the session will be offered as a make-up session at a later date.

TECHNICAL POLICY

Intuition Educational Support is not liable for any technical problems during online lessons that are out of our control. Please ensure that your internet software is updated and the connection works efficiently.

Our tutors will ensure they have a strong internet connection and can be heard and seen clearly. Students are encouraged to do the same before the lesson begins. If the tutor has technical difficulties, the time will be logged, and we will offer the missed time as credit for future lessons.

Our 3CX system when conducting online lessons allows us to track the progress of the classes. We can, therefore, record the time started and completed and track faults from the 3CX system from the tutor's end.

FEE INCREASES

Due to increasing operational costs, we may periodically increase fees without notice. If we do, as an enrolled student, the fee increase will occur a full term after the increase. E.g. if we increase fees at the start of term 3, the increase will only occur in term 4.
