Tutoring children from a young age

“How can you tutor children of such a young age?” When people think about the word ‘tutoring', they often envisage a child with an increased workload, reams of worksheets and parents striving for academic perfection. From an early childhood perspective, this couldn’t be further from reality at Intuition.
Each child presents different needs and abilities as all human beings do, therefore we approach these according to the individual child. Each lesson is personalised involving games and interaction with the tutor on a high verbal level and for our youngest students, we understand how vital sensory-based learning is, along with a play structure where suitable. Most students will use manipulatives in Mathematics or cue cards in English and a variety of skills will be practiced across the term in different ways.
Tutoring provides direct support to students and whether the child requires extension or assistance with their learning, we believe that we should be valued as an asset to the child’s education. We want to work alongside schools and provide the best service for students and their families, with the aim of achieving academic success for all.
